< Stamp Duty horror for millions!...As a former estate agent for many years, I was shocked and dismayed to hear about the Stamp Duty reversion in January 2010 which I believe would drastically effect the sale of one's modest property or the affordability for new or first time buyers!! Due to this effect, vendors will be forced to reduce the prices of their homes once more giving false projection of property sales in our area hence giving false information to the general public!!!..This decision will certainly effect the UK economy as a whole!!..What are your thoughts? ...Editor-in-Chief..Mandana >

< CITY CLEAN-UPDATE :: Launched on 2nd August by World Heritage Society with volunteers such as the City council Chair Bryan Chalker and our very own Mandana! Bath, Lets get our City Beautiful! The 2nd clean up date was on 13th Sept 2009, the 11 Oct was another success. The next one is set for 15th Nov 2009. Volunteer today!. Mandana is pleased to see her request for removal of Graffiti at the passageway between Cheap St & Abbey Courtyard has seen results!>

TIMSBURY St.Mary's Church Fundraiser :: 12th Sept 2009. Great day...great fun and great atmosphere all for raising funds for the church...Mandana and her mother tried their hands in fundraising...not the best but they gave it a go!

> SHAPE Youth Housing :: Visited by Chair of Bath Council Brian Chalker, Mrs Chaulker, Mandana & her mother who were interested in seeing first hand as to how this organisation is SHAPE ing up!!! The young people were quite pleasant and showed the guests around the building including their very own studio! BathBroadcasting Company CEO Mandana was so impressed that she has since has joined the committee board!...

> PACT MEETING UPDATE :: 9th Sept: A full house. Our Community Relations corrspondent & CEO Mandana [a city center resident and an Abbey Resident Associations member TARA], observed many local residents concerns which consisted of Road speed, AntiSocial behaviour, Beggers/Drugs, City rubbish problems and the SeaGulls. Last public meeting was on 27th Jan 2010 in the Guildhall great meeting! Get involved.

< LAURA PLACE FOUNTAIN UPDATE! :: Great news since we first brought this issue to your attention in mid August. On 4th Sept the council workers were seen cleaning up our treasured monument! Well done boys!

> LAURA PLACE FOUNTAIN :: "As a city resident and a fan of Bath World Heritage Monumental Sites and Architecture, I was totally shocked and disgusted to see one of our few historic fountains in such a bad state of affairs with extreme algae hanging visible from as far as 100 yards! With multiple stacks of dumped newspapers and foam [foam perhaps a hint for the city to clean it up!]..it is disgraceful and unsightly for Great Pultney Street residents and an embarracement to tourists"...As quoted by our correspondent & Abbey Ward Campaigner Mandana.

> LEGENDS ALL STAR WEEKEND 2009 :: Fund Raiser held in Bath UK on 6th & 7th November 2009. Events consisted of The LEGEND AWARDS, 1980's Themed VIP Meet www.LegendsDirect.co.uk . There was opportunity to meet International legends of Music in Aid of local Bath charities> The GENESIS Trust, SHAPE, RUH Community Radio & Abbey Church Homeless Initiative.
